We are seeking a Cloud Architect to join our team at Norrøna. This position will be crucial in leading the development, maintenance, and improvement of our cloud infrastructure, while also contributing directly to software development that powers our platforms. We are looking for someone who is both strategic and hands-on, comfortable working closely with code, systems, and day-to-day technical challenges.

About the role

As Cloud Architect, you will both be leading the development of Norrøna’s cloud infrastructure and building high-quality software applications. You will drive the evolution of our Google Cloud Platform (GCP) environment, spearheading our DevOps initiatives and facilitating the adoption of Kubernetes and Infrastructure as Code (IaC) using Terraform. You will play a key role in building and designing scalable, secure, and high-performing cloud environments that support our global operations. You will also collaborate closely with our software teams to build, test, and maintain robust applications.

We are looking for someone who writes clean, reusable code and maintains high standards for performance, reliability, and maintainability. You will contribute to the continuous improvement of our technical platforms, helping ensure that Norrøna remains competitive and innovative in the digital space. In this role, you will collaborate closely with both internal teams and external partners to deliver impactful, high-quality solutions that align with Norrøna’s global goals and sustainable business practices.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
• Documented track record on Kubernetes and terraform (Preferably 4 + years of experience).
• Experienced in security best practice, including identity management and compliance in cloud environments.
• Relevant experience with our techstack (.Net/C#, GCP, vue.js, PostgreSql, Redis) is desired but not a requirement.
• Strong programming skills.
