Join us in shaping the future of FINN Torget
THE OPPORTUNITY IN A NUTSHELL
You? A sharp, opportunity-driven analyst who doesn't wait for questions - you find the ones that matter, answer them rigorously, communicate it clearly and make the organization act on what you find.
Role? Lead Business Analyst in Recommerce, where you'll shape strategic direction through insights, lead cross-functional analyst teams and projects, and build collaboration patterns across commercial, strategy, and finance functions.
Tech stack? SQL, dbt, Tableau, Python. Snowflake as the data warehouse and a growing semantic layer practice.
Company? Vend, home of FINN, Blocket, Tori, Oikotie, DBA & Bilbasen, where millions of people across the Nordics connect to find what they need, whether it's a job, a home, a way to move, or a fresh start.
Location? Join us in our Oslo or Stockholm office - with the flexibility to work 50% remotely: your choice, your balance.
Why us? ReCommerce is where sustainability meets marketplace scale. We're building the analytical foundations to drive category management, growth, experimentation, and AI-supported decision-making - and we need a strong analytical lead to make it happen. This is a role where you shape how an entire vertical understands and acts on its data, with real strategic influence and room to grow.
Sounds like your cup of tea? Check out the details below!
WHO ARE YOU?
- You think in opportunities, not dashboards. You've built analyses that changed how a business allocated resources, set targets, or entered markets - and you've presented those recommendations to senior leaders in language they can act on.
- You lead by doing. With 5-7 years of experience in business analytics or strategy analytics, you've managed and inspired people, set priorities, and raised the bar for output quality - but when the most important analysis of the quarter needs to happen, you're comfortable owning it yourself.
- You're fluent in the language of business. SQL and data modeling are second nature, but so is walking into a room of senior leaders and making a clear recommendation they can act on.
- You build bridges that don't exist yet. You've created collaboration patterns between teams - analysts, category management, marketing, finance, product - that weren't there before. You don't wait for someone to define the process; you define it.
- SQL and data modeling are second nature and you're comfortable with tools like dbt and Tableau. You have strong, data-backed opinions, loosely held - you push for what the data tells you, but listen when others bring context you don't have. You actively use AI tools to accelerate your own and your team's analytical output.
- You hold a degree in a quantitative field such as Data Science, Statistics, Economics, or Business. Programming skills in Python or R are appreciated but not essential.
WHAT'S THE JOB LIKE?
What your days will look like
Your primary mission is to make sure Recommerce knows where its biggest opportunities are - and acts on them.
You'll own end-to-end strategic analyses: from forming the hypothesis, through data collection and modeling, to executive-ready recommendations and implementation follow-up. This means identifying growth opportunities across markets, categories, and business levers - and working with Strategy, Finance, and the Recommerce leadership team to translate those into trimester OKRs and investment decisions.
You'll build models and frameworks that assess business performance, forecast growth, and support capital allocation. You won't just deliver findings - you'll drive the conversation about what we should do differently and follow up to make sure it happens.
You'll lead and set the direction of the business analyst team - prioritizing work, coaching on craft, and holding a high bar for the quality of what we deliver.
But this role goes beyond your direct team. You'll establish and drive collaboration patterns across analysts, product teams, and commercial functions (Marketing, Category Management, Finance, Strategy). Some of these patterns exist today. Many don't. You'll need to build them - defining how we share context, align on priorities, and turn scattered analytical efforts into a coherent decision making.
You'll manage the analytical backlog with a clear point of view on what matters most - pushing back on low-impact requests and pulling forward work the business hasn't asked for yet.
This is a hands-on role. When the critical analysis of the quarter needs to happen, you don't just delegate it - you lead it or do it yourself.
You'll present regularly to the Recommerce leadership team and cross-functional stakeholders, making recommendations that are clear, grounded, and easy to act on. You'll promote a culture where analysis drives decisions - not just informs them - by embedding analytical thinking into planning processes, business reviews, and strategic discussions.
The challenge to turn into an opportunity
Recommerce operates across multiple Nordic markets with different dynamics and maturity levels. The analytical function is growing and the expectations are high - but the structures and collaboration patterns to meet those expectations are still being built. This means you won't inherit a well-oiled machine. You'll build one.
If that sounds like a problem, this isn't the role for you. If it sounds like exactly the kind of challenge you want, keep reading.
What success looks like
After 6 months, you will have:
- Mapped the key growth levers across markets and established a shared analytical agenda with Strategy and Finance
- Put in place a clear prioritization framework for business analyst work - so the team spends time on what matters most
- Led at least one high-impact strategic analysis end-to-end, from hypothesis to recommendation to action
After 12 months, you will have:
- Delivered strategic analyses that directly shaped trimester OKRs or investment priorities
- Built repeatable collaboration structures between analysts, commercial teams, and finance across markets
- Raised the bar for analytical output quality and made the business analyst function a team that leadership actively turns to - not just when they need a number, but when they need a direction

A few words from Hans Erik Hallheim, Director Analytics, Insights & Pricing
"Hi, I'm Hans Erik! I lead the Insights, Analytics & Pricing team in Recommerce.
We're a team of product analysts, business analysts, and pricing specialists spread across the Nordics. Our mission is to make sure Recommerce makes good decisions - whether that's about pricing strategy, growth priorities, or product development. We do this by being close to the business, rigorous with data, and honest about what we find.
I'm looking for someone who brings structure and ambition to the business analyst function - someone who can both lead people and enjoy analytical work themselves. We have a collaborative team culture, but we also expect each other to take ownership and drive things forward. If you want a role where your work directly shapes strategic direction, I'd love to hear from you"
