Financial Analysis & Business Insights Manager
At Tise, we’re on a mission to create the world’s best second-hand marketplace — where sustainability meets style and where buying pre-loved feels even better than buying new. Following our acquisition by eBay, we’re entering an exciting new chapter, scaling our impact across the Nordics and beyond 🌍
To accelerate this journey, we’re looking for a Financial Analysis & Business Insights Manager to join our Finance & Strategy team at our Oslo HQ. This is a high-impact role for someone who loves turning complexity into clarity—building the financial models and business insights that serve as the foundation for how we plan, invest, and grow. This role will report to the CFO.
What you’ll do
As our Financial Analysis & Business Insights Manager, you will be instrumental in building Tise’s financial outlook and a key driver of commercial understanding. You will be modeling the business to understand its drivers, working closely with analysts and insights managers to create forecasts and financial visibility that enables Tise’s management to plan with confidence.
Your responsibilities will include:
Architect Business Modeling & Forecasting: Build and maintain robust financial models that reflect the reality of our marketplace. You will lead the forecasting processes (short and long term), ensuring our projections are backed by data and aligned with our deal model and strategic targets.
Generate Actionable Business Insights: Go beyond the "what" to explain the "why." You will analyze marketplace trends, unit economics (LTV/CAC), and cohort behavior to identify risks and opportunities. You'll turn these insights into executive-ready narratives that influence our commercial roadmap.
Bridge Operational Metrics and Financial Outcomes: Partner with Analysts and Insights Managers to bridge the gap between operational metrics and financial outcomes. You ensure we have the numbers to support our strategic decisions and track our performance accurately.
Budget Follow-up & Performance Management: Drive budget follow-up processes, identifying variances between actuals and forecasts. You will work with department leads to understand spend patterns, and provide early warnings allowing us to pivot resources toward the highest-impact opportunities while maintaining financial discipline.
Drive Strategic Analysis & Business Partnering: Act as a financial sparring partner for Marketing, Product, and Commercial teams. You will help them translate their roadmaps into financial projections, ensuring that resource allocation is always optimized for the highest-impact opportunities.
Executive Reporting & Strategic Governance: Prepare materials for executive and strategy forums. You will help stand up business reporting capabilities that track our integration progress and long-term performance against public company standards.
Who you are
You are an analytical powerhouse who enjoys the "architecture" of a good spreadsheet but also understands the human business behind the data. You thrive in fast-paced environments and pride yourself on being a collaborative partner who makes everyone around you smarter.
You likely have:
A master’s degree in finance, economics, industrial economics, or a related quantitative field.
3–5 years of experience from financial analysis, corporate finance, management consulting, or a high-growth tech/marketplace environment.
Solid modeling skills: You are highly proficient in Excel/Google Sheets and have experience building integrated models and complex business cases.
Commercial Acumen: You understand how product changes or marketing spend impact the P&L and can explain these links to non-finance stakeholders.
Data fluency: Experience with large datasets and business insights tools (e.g., Tableau, PowerBI) is a significant advantage, as you’ll need to navigate data pipelines to feed your models.
Strong Storytelling: Great at translating data and insights into executive-ready presentations and building narratives around the numbers.
A proactive mindset: You don't wait for a template; you create the structure and find the "story" in the data where it's missing.
Fluency in English and Norwegian, both written and spoken
