C++ / Edge Software Engineer – shaping the future of sustainable aquaculture

We’re looking for a C++ engineer who enjoys building high-performance, reliable edge software for real-time vision and inference on NVIDIA Jetson-class devices.

What you’ll do

• Build and optimize real-time C++ applications for video processing and ML inference on embedded/edge hardware.

• Turn CV/ML prototypes into robust, production-grade systems (performance, stability, debuggability).

• Work close to cameras/sensors: ingestion, synchronization, buffering, calibration, and timestamping.

• Implement reliable data handling from edge devices under constrained or intermittent connectivity (streaming and/or structured results).

• Improve operational quality: profiling, monitoring/logging, fault handling, and safe remote maintenance.

Qualifications (what we expect)

• Bachelor’s or Master’s in Computer Science, Embedded Systems, Robotics, or a related field (or equivalent hands-on experience).

• Strong experience with modern C++ (C++14/17/20) in performance-critical systems.

• Solid understanding of real-time constraints, multithreading, and concurrency.

• Hands-on experience deploying software on embedded Linux devices.

• Experience with NVIDIA Jetson or similar edge platforms.

• Familiarity with GPU-accelerated inference (CUDA and/or TensorRT integration).

• I’ve shipped production C++ where latency/throughput/memory mattered.

• I can debug hard issues in concurrent systems (races, deadlocks, jitter).

• I’ve built or owned a camera/video pipeline (buffers, timestamps, sync, drop handling).

• I’ve deployed and supported software on Linux devices in the field (not just dev laptops).

• I regularly use profiling tools and can explain how I find bottlenecks across CPU/GPU/I/O.

• I’m comfortable collaborating with specialists and turning research code into maintainable systems.

This role is probably not a match if

• You prefer only research prototypes and don’t enjoy production hardening/operations.

• You haven’t worked near hardware/video pipelines and don’t want to.
