Senior Software Development Engineer for Multimedia Distribution Systems

We are looking for a new colleague to strengthen our SnapTV team.

SnapTV is an in-house developed product providing an end-to-end solution for distribution of movies, TV and other content over satellite or fixed line.

The SnapTV system consists of a central/shore-based part and a remote/on-board part. The central servers handle content, licensing and distribution over various networks while the remote servers are used for storing and distributing the content to Set Top boxes, Mobile Phones, Tablets, Laptops etc.

Our main market segment is maritime, and we have a global customer base

The Role

We are looking for a senior developer that can contribute across different parts of the SnapTV platform, and we can offer a role in a dynamic and exciting work environment. You will be exposed to a broad range of different technologies, and you will be an integral part in defining new developments in line with the company's technology roadmap. You will work with an experienced team in our office at Technopolis, Fornebu but also with an international team in our global organisation.

To be successful in the role you must have a hands-on approach and a willingness to learn new things. We also see that you have some or all of the following:

• A Bachelor or Master degree in SW engineering, or equivalent and 5 years of work experience from SW development

• Experience with working in Linux OS

• Experience with programming languages such as C/C++, Python, React JS

• Experience with git

• Experience with Network protocols

• Experience with Docker containers

• Experience building REST APIs with Python

•  Experience with databases such as: PostgreSQL, MongoDB

•  Knowledge/experience about Jenkins automation server
