Northern Lights is seeking a permanent Sr Software Developer to strengthen our Digitalisation Team and take ownership of our inhouse software solutions. This role is key to developing secure, scalable, and reliable applications that support our growing CCS value chain. You will work closely with teams across the organisation and play a central role in shaping modern digital capabilities in a supportive, highperforming environment.
The position is based in Stavanger.

Your role
As our Sr Software Developer, you will own the development and operation of Northern Lights’ inhouse software solutions. You will drive strategy, architecture, delivery, and secure operations, ensuring scalable and reliable systems for our growing CCS value chain. Working closely across the organisation, you will help shape modern digital capabilities and contribute to a collaborative, highperforming environment.
As the Sr Software Developer in Northern Lights, you will:
Further develop and maintain critical NLJV solutions such as: Cargo2Invoice,Digital CO₂ Storage Certificate,Operational Dashboard, Customer API Integrations, dMRV maintenance
Ensure Security by Design across all software development
Manage and optimize operational costs for services deployed in Azure
Work closely with disciplines across the company and drive initiatives such as Build vs Buy decisions
Design and build scalable systems independent of storage and transport facility specifics

Qualifications
You have a university degree in software engineering, computer science or a related field, and bring several years of experience with modern data platforms or cloudbased infrastructure.
Solid experience with C#, Visual Stucio, SQL, PySpark, Azure services and datamodelling concepts is a plus. The same goes for working with timeseries or transactional data, or visualisation tools like Power BI or Grafana. CI/CD or infrastructureascode experience is also appreciated.
You communicate fluently in both Norwegian and English, verbally and in writing.
It should be expected to travel both domestically and internationally (occasionally).

Northern Lights JV is responsible for developing and operating CO2 transport and storage facilities, open to third parties, as part of Longship, the Norwegian Government’s full-scale carbon capture and storage project which will be the first ever cross-border, open-source CO2 transport and storage infrastructure network, shipping CO2 to an onshore receiving terminal at Øygarden on the Norwegian west coast, before being transported by pipeline for permanent storage in a reservoir 2,600 metres under the seabed.
