Project Manager

Play a key role in delivering brownfield projects across Altera Infrastructure’s FPSO portfolios.

We are looking for a Project Manager, Brownfield Projects to join our operational organization and lead modification and variation order (VO) projects on existing FPSOs.

As the new Project Manager you will manage brownfield projects from early definition throughout execution, commissioning, handover, and closeout.
You will work in a self-driven matrix organization where initiative, collaboration, and accountability are key to delivering excellent results for our customers.

Duties and responsibilities

The role as Project Manager offers a unique opportunity to take real ownership of complex brownfield projects in an on- and offshore environment, where your decisions directly impact safety, reliability, and asset performance.

Project Management & Delivery

• Lead and coordinate brownfield modification and VO projects on existing FPSOs.
  
• Develop and execute project plans, budgets, and schedules.
  
• Monitor progress, manage deviations, and report project status and performance.
  
• Ensure proper project closeout and conduct post-investment reviews when required

HSE, Quality & Governance

• Ensure compliance with HSE, legal, contractual, and company requirements.
• Promote a strong HSE, quality, cost-conscious, and ethical culture across project teams and partners.
  

Stakeholder & Team Management

• Establish and lead multidisciplinary project teams.
• Manage expectations and maintain effective communication with clients, contractors, vendors, and internal stakeholders.

Contract & Risk Management

• Ensure robust and cost-effective contracts are established in cooperation with contracting and engineering teams.
• Manage contract performance, risks, claims, and deviations.
  

Technical Integration & Handover

• Ensure engineering, construction, and execution comply with client specifications and regulatory requirements.
• Support commissioning and ensure smooth handover to Operations.
• Deliver mechanically completed and pre-commissioned facilities with full documentation, fully integrated with existing FPSOs.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or higher in a relevant technical discipline
• 5–10 years’ experience in project management, including offshore activities/operations
• Project Management certification (PMP, PRINCE2 or similar) is an advantage
• Structured, analytical, and solution-oriented mindset
• Strong communication skills in English (verbal and written)
• Team player with the ability to work independently
• Flexible and willing to travel onshore and offshore as required.
