A stunning Solitaire Ring, made of Gold Plated 925 Silver and featuring an amazing 1.75ct natural Welo Opal Cabochon from Ethiopia. 0.25ct of natural Cambodian Zircons are set on either side of the Bezel set Opal. Opal is an October Birthstone and is also the stone given to celebrate the 14th Wedding Anniversary. The dramatic play-of-colour has inspired writers to compare it to fireworks, galaxies and volcanoes. Bedouins once believed Opal held lightning and fell from the sky during thunderstorms. Ancient Greeks thought Opals bestowed the gift of prophesy and protection from disease. Europeans long maintained Opal to be a symbol of purity, hope and truth.
