This book describes the life of Christoffer Trundssen, who was born about 1500 in Norway. Christoffer was the nephew of the last Norwegian Archbishop Olav Engelbrigtsson and was in command of Olav's forces when trying to maintain Norway as a catholic country. He fled with the Archbishop to Brabant in 1537, operated for a while as a pirate for Count Enno of Emden and become finally Danish Admiral of the Realm under King Christian III.
Christoffer had several children and many of Norwegian ancestry can trace their roots back to him though one of his daughters.
