Seeking Furnished Rental Starting in August

We are looking for a furnished place to stay with access to running, skiing and transit options to the UiO medical campus. We have some friends in Torshov so being near them would be great. We would ideally have a place for the occasional visiting guest to sleep (ie. a pullout, lofted bed or extra bedroom). Bonus if there is a safe way to store 2 bikes. Being on a grant has us on a stable, but fixed budget so open to exploring a creative arrangement or a work exchange for a reduced rate. A bit about us: We are an enthusiastic couple in our 30's originally from Seattle, where we own and renovated our home. We are relocating to Oslo for a year to engage in research at the University of Oslo as a part of a Fulbright grant. I am a mental health therapist doing research on pediatric suicide prevention and my partner (Postyn) works in sustainability and is a physicist by training. Having been homeowners ourselves, we deeply understand the importance of caring for a home and treating it with the utmost respect. We are tidy, responsible, and financially stable :) In our free time, we enjoy outdoor activities such as trail running and skiing, which is one of the many reasons we are thrilled about the move to Norway. We are looking forward to exploring the beautiful landscapes and cultural offerings in and around Oslo. We are excited about this new chapter and are eager to find a cozy place we can call home during our stay. We are keen to build a good relationship with our future landlord and neighbors, ensuring a positive and respectful living environment.
