Fiat Ducato

I'm selling my cozy self-build campervan due to moving abroad.

She has a very practical lay-out, which is especially interesting for people with a medium to large sized dog. I've optimized floor space because of this reason and under the bed you'll find a high quality German dog crate, one of the few brands of dogcrates that actually have withstand crash tests. Safety for our four-legged friends for everything!

Windows and ventilation

As you can see on the photo she has a lot of windows, I love to have that much light in my van. Only the windows on the left side of the van open and they have musquito netting. I don't know why the other ones don't open, maybe this can be changed?

In the roof is an emergency exit, I've never dared to open it, but it does give more light into the van itself. There is a ventilation system in the roof, that is connected to the main car battery.

Heating

There is a webasto heating system in the van, which works fine, though it's not ideal for day-long warming of the van. But for a cold morning and you need some warmth to wake up, you do have this option.

Insulation

The van used be a 'minibuss' with 7 seats, I didn't change anything on the insulation that was already in place. This insulation is therefor mostly noise-insulation.

Bedroom/Livingroom

The bed can be used as a 'lounge' sofa during the day, but stretched out to a full 2m long and 1,65 wide bed. When the bed is completely out you can still use the stove and 'bathroom' area. I used an Ikea 'bed'table for eating and working inside the van when the weather doesn't allow me to be outside.

Kitchen

In the 'kitchen' you find a 2-pit stove with space for a medium sized gas cannister. There is lot's of workspace, since I like to cook. There is a 50cm deep cabinet with 4 wire-drawers, lot's of space for your cooking utensils and food storage. Next to the bathroom area there is space for a small coolbox. I only used a passive one, but there are electrical coolboxes that should fit in that space.

Bathroom

In the bathroom you find a watertap from the german brand 'Boxio', it's 'powered' by a handpump and very functional with a 5 liter fresh and 5 liter grey water tank. You can easily remove the Boxio box in winter time for freezing, or when you want to do a deep clean. I always carry some extra jerrycans of water in the garage to refill the 5liter one inside the living area.

You also find space for a Boxio toilet in the same cabinet. I'm not selling this unit with the van, because I think you will want to buy your own clean toilet. Unless you really want it, though then I'll recommend buying at least a new 'pee'jerrycan.

Cabinets

There is 3-drawer cabinet next to the bed, which I used for clothes. Then there is another smaller cabinet with a bookshelf with elastic bands. Here I put my powerstation for charging my laptop, phone etc. Next to the bathroom area there is space to hang some clothes and jackets.

And then there is the 'kitchen' cabinet and 'bathroom'cabinet. Ofcourse there's lot's of space in the 'garage' on either side of the dog crate.

Curtains

The living area can be completely closed off with curtains for all windows and behind the driver seats. Full privacy when you need it!

Lights

The whole van is quite low-tech, so for lights I just used battery powered 'christmas'lights.

Tires

She is currently on studded winter tires, but I also have a set of normal winter tires for her. Both have their own rims. The summer tires I have just thrown away since they were completely done for. I also have snow chains, which will come with the sell.

Technical

She's an old lady so she'll be sold without any reclamation rights. I can basically promise you she will need repairs within the coming two years, as you can expect with a car of this age. And she'll probably need some repairs already to pass her next EU-kontroll. Which will be on 19-04-2026. Things I already know that need to be checked out are her handbrake (I always park her in gear, I don't trust the handbrake) and she's leaking some oil.

This is why I'm selling her for such a low price. She's not a 'reperationsobjekt' because she's driving fine right now, but she might almost be. I just want to be very clear about this, so there can be no mistake that you find her 'in worse condition than you might expect'.

In 2025 her front brakes and the clutch are replaced.

According to several car mechanics rust-wise she is actually in very good condition considering her age and mileage, so with a handy car-mechanic enthusiast I truly believe this van has a lot more adventures in her.
