Vianode is looking for a VP Treasury to join their Finance team at Skøyen, Oslo.

Our first industrial plant for the production of anode graphite is under construction in Norway, with start of production scheduled for the second half of 2024. The next phase will involve construction of a large-scale plant, and this is in the planning stage, with production targeted during 2027.

To support our exciting growth phase, we are now hiring for the position as VP Treasury to manage and oversee the Treasury function in Vianode. The right candidate will act as a central business partner towards the organization for all Treasusry-related matters, including financing, liquidity, cash management, FX, systems, processes, financial planning and more. You will work closely with the CFO and report to him.

Key responsibilities in the role

Drive financial strategy and ensure optimal capital structure
Anticipate the Company’s borrowing needs and availability of funds for investment
Assist in securing equity, debt and public funding for the Company’s projects
Maintain and own relationships with the Company’s banking group
Manage financial risk of liquidity, FX and interest rate
Further develop treasury processes and systems, and ensure that the organization upholds strong governance and compliance
Support various finance related work streams and carry out financial duties and responsibilities as required
Contribute to developing the technical knowledge of other team members

Required qualifications

Master’s degree in finance and accounting or other relevant qualification
Minimum 7-10 years treasury experience from an international company
Experience in working with international and domestic banks
Knowledge of financial instruments, including hedging
Advanced skills in financial modelling and ERP systems
Excellent communication skills in English; Norwegian is an advantage
Genuine interest in the green transition, battery technology and sustainability

Self-motivated and proactive, with a proven track record
Structured approach with dedication and a willingness to take ownership
Strong business acumen and ability to analyze complex issues

Location: This position is based in Oslo (Skøyen).
