Elopak is looking for an experienced and competent Head of Group Accounting to be part of the Group Finance Team at our Headquarters (HQ) at Skøyen, Oslo.

Head of Group Accounting plays a key role in the Elopak finance organisation and in the company. You will have responsibility for consolidation and financial reporting for the Group and will have a wide range of tasks within group accounts, IFRS, and group reporting.

You will be responsible for a team of three skilled Financial Controllers, and the position reports to Director Finance and Tax. The position collaborates closely with Finance Managers and Accountants across the Group (Europe, The Americas, India and MENA), and many other Group finance functions, e.g. Tax, Treasury, FP&A, Investor Relations and Sustainability reporting. You will also be exposed to the Group’s Board’s Audit and Sustainability Committee.

Responsibilities

prepare the group’s consolidated accounts on a monthly basis and provide analysis to the global finance function
prepare quarterly and annual financial statements to the capital market
take part in monthly financial reviews with business areas
plan, coordinate and ensure the quality of financial figures
develop and maintain internal control procedures
continuously improve routines and processes, with potential for new Business Intelligence solutions
advice in accounting related issues
plan and facilitate learning for team and other group functions
lead the annual audit process
lead a talented team, manage, develop, and improve further growth, elevating our financial function

Qualifications

master’s degree in accounting/auditing (e.g. MRR) or finance
minimum 7 years of relevant experience from operational accounting or auditing, preferably from a large company
strong knowledge of IFRS
experience with development of internal controls
proficiency in Excel and Microsoft Office
familiarity with consolidation system is an advantage
excellent English proficiency
