The TOMRA Textiles team is leveraging TOMRA’s sensor-based solutions to sort textile waste for subsequent recycling steps. We are looking for a Senior Technology Solution Manager who can help us develop innovative solutions as well as design, commission and optimize textile sorting plants. You will be working with a team of interdisciplinary experts to enable fiber-to-fiber textile recycling by industrializing one of the key steps in the value chain: the textile sorting process.  

In this position your responsibilities include: 

• Design, commission, and optimize textile sorting plants. 
• Develop innovative processes and technologies to improve the quality of textile recycling. 
• Identify and collaborate with textile ecosystem partners to understand the requirements of textile recyclers and tailor TOMRA’s technology to meet industry needs. 
• Support business development projects by providing technical guidance.  
• Define the technological roadmap and strategy together with the team. 
• Analyze and optimize the performance of existing and new textile sorting installations. 
• Scout and identify new technologies and evaluate their potential for the textile sorting process.
• The position is based in Oslo

Qualifications

• 3-5+ years’ experience in a relevant area (engineering, waste management, textile processing or recycling). 
• University degree, preferably in a relevant engineering discipline (e.g. industrial, textile, environmental, mechanical), waste management, or equivalent. 
• Excellent English language skills, both written and verbal. Understanding of plant engineering, textile recycling processes and/or the commissioning of medium to large scale factories is an advantage.  
• Excellent communication skills, cross-cultural competence.  
• Creative and innovative – willing and able to question the status quo and to develop new ideas and solutions. 
• Mobility and flexibility, extensive travelling can be expected (> 25%).
