Om arbeidsgiveren
TOMRA is the world’s most advanced provider of sensor-based solutions. Globally, in 80 markets worldwide, we are a technology-led company that designs and manufactures solutions to create a more sustainable world through a better use of resources.
Today, we are not utilizing resources in a sustainable way. In fact, the world is only 9% circular, meaning much of the Earth’s precious resources are only used once, leaving huge untapped potential for more sustainable resource management. TOMRA provides cutting-edge solutions for optimal resource productivity within the recycling, mining and food industries and is therefore uniquely positioned to shape the Circular Economy, creating demand for this way of thinking in the world. At TOMRA we want to be a thought leader, encouraging a more sustainable way of thinking and inspiring active change around the world.
The textile industry is estimated to be responsible for 3 percent of global carbon emissions. A large part of this footprint comes from fiber production, but only 1% of textile waste is currently recycled into textile fiber. TOMRA’s new venture, TOMRA Textiles, is committed to closing this gap and enabling a sustainable fibre-to-fiber recycling industry. Based on TOMRA’s leading sensor-based sorting technology, TOMRA Textiles will build world-wide capacity for automated sorting of textile waste at industrial scale.
The TOMRA Group employs over 5000 people globally and is listed on the Oslo Stock Exchange (OSE: TOM). TOMRA was in 2023 named Norway’s Most Innovative Business, number one in the list of the country’s top 25 companies.
At TOMRA, we want people to innovate, show passion in their work and be responsible. We encourage the freedom to innovate and take risks that result in breakthroughs that challenge the status quo. We value passion that focuses and commits to meeting success. We believe in a responsible and safe mindset that takes care of our customers, products, and fellow employees.
