In TOMRA I work with data analytics and big data, in a team of six called Data Solutions. We seek patterns in how people return their containers for recycling across the globe. Every time you return a container, it generates a huge amount of data, such as how many containers, the types of containers, the refund value for the session, and more. The data also tells us what’s happening inside the reverse vending machine, from the sensors to the software, and if there are things that require a fix.

In TOMRA I work in the department of Technical Product Management. Here we support the TOMRA service organizations around the world and are responsible for the serviceability in the development of new products. I really enjoy working at TOMRA with great people, interesting technology and a purpose being a part of the resource revolution!

What I really like about TOMRA is that even though it’s a well-established global company, there’s still a strong focus on innovation. There’s a willingness to explore new tech, rethink how things are done, take on new challenges, and still staying committed to a bigger purpose. While TOMRA is best known for its RVMs, there’s so much untapped potential in technology to create even greater value for our customers. Being part of that journey feels inspiring.
