Duties and responsibilities

As a Console Design Engineer, you will play a key role in the design and development of bridge consoles and operator stations for navigation and communication systems. Your tasks will include:

• Designing and developing console solutions in collaboration with project managers, electrical and automation engineers
• Creating technical documentation such console arrangement drawings, wiring diagrams, and cable lists
• Using tools like AutoCAD and other relevant CAD software
• Ensuring compliance with class, customer, and internal standards
• Contributing to continuous improvement and innovation in our solutions

You will also be working closely with our SeaQ Bridge System – a state-of-the-art integrated bridge solution designed for safety, efficiency, and user experience.

Qualifications

We are looking for someone who has:

• A vocational certificate or higher education in electrical, automation, mechanical design, or similar fields
• Experience with technical drawing and documentation
• Familiarity with maritime systems and bridge equipment is a plus
• Strong communication skills in both English and Norwegian
• Experience working in projects and cross-functional teams
