Interior Designer

Vard Interiors are looking for a professionally experienced and motivated Interior Designer to strengthen our team due to the increased requests and expectations from themarket and owners in terms of interior solution.

So – what are your skills?

You should be ready to:

Support the architectural interior design processes:

• Interior design: Propose the internal layout, materials, furniture and decoration of different rooms to give individual identity to each ship
• Design documentation: Define the Color & Material plan for the project and prepare 3D sketches and renderings
  
• Collaboration: Collaborate with the engineering department to ensure correct follow up with procurement, material approval, delivery and installation
• Sales: Support sales and participate in client meetings to define the correct interior solutions for the contract/project from the technical and esthetical point of view
• Marketing: Prepare marketing materials, sales/social media content & presentations
• Concept design: Follow up interior collection by monitoring the market trends and requests from the clients
• Product development: Sourcing new relevant materials and products in cooperation with Procurement department

Join us if you:

• Education & Experience: Relevant education within the field of interior architecture and/or design. Proven previous experience in a similar position
• Industry knowledge: Great interest in design and interiors and up to date with latest trends. Experience or knowledge from the shipbuilding industry would be a huge advantage
• Language skills: Fluent in English (written and spoken)
• Software experience: Experience using drawing programs such as AutoCAD, Revit, pCon, Archicad or similar. Experience using the Adobe package, such as Indesign, Photoshop, Adobe Acrobat as well as MS Office, especially Powerpoint
