GE HealthCare in Horten is looking for a Technical Writer!

The Technical Writer creates product and service documentation for end users and service engineers.


Responsibilities

  • Develop and manage all documentations requirements

  • Review, edit, test, release, and publish documentation

  • Adhere to GE HealthCare technical publications standards

  • Track and fix documentation defects

  • Assist in the development and implementation of the user and service documentation strategy

  • Leverage knowledge in advanced aspects of technical/functional areas and apply technical theory and practical experience with input from relevant functional areas to solve complex problems

  • Work independently and possess a level of functional expertise necessary to influence and execute technical and project delivery execution

  • Work with internal customers and/or program leadership to ensure that the project deliverables are consistent with the goals of larger programs or initiatives

  • Implement engineering standards

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's Degree from an accredited university or college

  • Excellent oral and written English language skills

  • Knowledge of Scrum method of working

  • Familiar with: Adobe Illustrator, Adobe Photoshop, Adobe FrameMaker

Desired Skills

  • Technical writer or Engineering/technical background

  • Systematic and organized work pattern

  • Proactive approach and readiness to "hunt" for information

  • Strong interpersonal, verbal communication, presentation skills and technical communication skills

  • Experience working with global development sites

  • Experience managing documentation projects

  • Experience in a health-care related field

  • Proven ability to work independently and in teams
