We are looking for you who get a boost from preparing, analyzing and reporting on the quarterly results, and at the same time contribute into the team with compliance and quality assurance processes. You have good analytical, planning and problem-solving skills and will participate in reviewing internal controls and reporting of statistical data. In Vard Group you will work closely with the Group Chief Accountant Norway and get to use both your project managing skills as well as being a key team player.

Main responsibilities

  • Analysis and reporting of quarterly financial results to the group
  • Manage the month-end closing process
  • Year-end closing and preparation of financial statements
  • Tax reporting
  • Day to day activities such as intercompany netting, and other ad hoc responsibilities
  • Be a key team player in contributing to good financial control and compliance awareness within the Group
  • Give Compliance focus to quality assurance procedures
  • Manage relevant projects

Education & Experience

  • Relevant higher education in Finance/Audit/Accounting or Economics. MSc/MA will be preferred
  • 5+ years relevant work experience in audit, finance, accounting or as controller. Advantage if some experience is from international group of industrial production companies
  • Experience with Excel, Maestro, Power BI and ERP systems like SAP, IFS is an advantage
  • Good knowledge of accounting principles with IFRS and NGAAP, group consolidation, company tax and BOD report
