Bid Manager / Cost Estimator

Vard Interiors AS is looking for two Bid Managers; one for Interior and one for HVAC.

Are you an experienced Bid Manager / Cost Estimator with a passion for crafting compelling proposals that win business? As a Bid Manager at Vard Interiors AS, you will play a important role in our business.

Duties and responsibilities

• The Primary role/function is to prepare and/or review and endorse cost estimates of different levels of accuracy depending on the maturity of the sales project.
• Drive the bid submission process (compile, edit and proofread) crafting persuasive and detailed proposals.
• Developing a knowledge base, maintaining updated the historical cost data-base and relative KPI.
• Conducting handover towards the organization once bids have been secured.

Qualifications

• Knowledge of shipbuilding processes, materials, and costs.
  
• Experience in interior field and/ or HVAC field
• Technical competence is preferred for understanding drawings
• Good software skills (Excel)
  
• Proven track record of securing high-value contracts and delivering winning bids is a plus.

• Good communication, negotiation, and presentation skills.
  
• Detail-oriented, with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and meet tight deadlines.
  
• Capacity to maintain focus and composure under pressure and recover quickly from setbacks.

• Analytic skills is essential
