Flight operations manager for autonomous drone logistics

Aviant makes drone delivery a reality. After starting in the labs at MIT in 2020, we have signed ten commercial contracts in Scandinavia, flown over 2,500 flights covering more than 35,000 km, built a robust team of 20 people, launched Kyte, one of two live European drone delivery services, and managed to take a leading position in the European drone market. Due to solid commercial traction, we are now looking to expand our team.

As Flight Operations Manager, your main responsibility is to lead the flight operations team. This includes daily safety decisions, planning and prioritizing daily operations, hiring, and ensuring we operate according to our certifications. Other responsibilities can include training of crew, updating the operations manual, handling external safety reports, joining discussions on the overall strategy of the company, leading emergency responses, and joining daily operations as a pilot. 

Our ideal candidate:

• Several years of operational experience with drones or helicopters
• Experience with leadership
• Structured 
• Can-do attitude
