As an Operations Engineer in MD Totco you are a part of a step-change in the Oil & Gas industry.
Our Wired Pipe technology enables digitization and automation of the drilling process, and our operations engineers are significant contributors to reduce time spent on well construction. The Wired Pipe enables our clients to complete wells safer, faster with higher confidence.
MDTotco is a business group within the Wellbore Technologies segment, and with our Downhole Broadband Solutions and Real-Time Services we are focusing on drilling automation & optimization by use of downhole data. Our department concentrates primarily on deployment of wired drill pipe (WDP) technology and along-string measurement (ASM) tools in drilling operations. The system allows transmission of real-time, high-density, low-latency data from logging-while-drilling (LWD) tools and from ASM subs. These tools provided temperature, annular/internal pressure, rotation, and vibration data.
Due to increasing demand for our products and services we are need of additional personnel in our operations group to deliver intelligent, smarter and more cost-efficient solutions to our customers.
You will:
- Adhere to NOV and its customers safety philosophy and policies
- Maintain and sustain the Wired Telemetry offshore
- Be a vital part of the integrated operation team offshore (DD, DSV, Driller)
- Advise on drilling process optimizations
- Focal point for downhole data distribution
- Logistic and asset tracking offshore
- Train and mentor other Operations Engineers as required
- Work closely with service quality to track areas of improvement
- Generate and provide daily reports, internal and external
You will have:
- BSc or Msc – Engineering degree related to Oil & Gas industry (petroleum, drilling, geology, etc.)
- Understanding of drilling mechanics and hydraulics
- Familiar with rig site data acquisition systems
- Independent, flexible worker
- Analytical mindset
- Experience in a practical occupation or hobby
- Strong communication skills
- Technical English proficiency
