Position Overview:

We are seeking a highly motivated and creative Design Engineer to join our Research and Development (R&D) team in Kleppe, Norway. As a Design Engineer at Øglænd System AS, you will play a pivotal role in developing cutting-edge support systems and solutions that contribute to the success of our global clients in the energy and offshore sectors. Kleppe is our global headquarters, and for the right candidates there are a broad range of development opportunities both locally and internationally.

Key Responsibilities:

• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to conceptualize, design, and develop innovative support systems and related products.
• Utilize state-of-the-art design tools and software to create detailed 3D models and engineering drawings.
• Facilitate structural analysis and calculations in collaboration with our structural team to ensure product performance and safety.
• Conduct feasibility studies and prototype testing to validate design concepts.
• Continuously evaluate and optimize product designs for cost-effectiveness and sustainability.
• Actively participate in project meetings, sharing insights and ideas to drive innovation.
• Keep abreast of industry trends, best practices, and emerging technologies to enhance product development processes.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in mechanical engineering, structural engineering, or a related field.
• Experience in product design and engineering, preferably in the energy, offshore, or construction sectors.
• Proficiency in 3D CAD software (e.g., Inventor, SolidWorks) and/or FEA tools.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with a focus on attention to detail.
• Excellent communication and teamwork abilities.
• Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks effectively.
• A passion for innovation and a desire to contribute to the success of the team and the company.
• Fluency in English, both written and spoken.
