VARD Information and Communication Technology (ICT) provides a variety of services within ICT operation and support. With focus on efficient and stabile operation, we provide local support on infrastructure and Business Systems combined with continual improvements. The ICT organization consist of 50 employees globally, where 35 are located in Norway. The ICT organization seeks to strengthen the infrastructure team with a Senior System Administrator.

You will be part of the Infrastructure and support team. The team is responsible for delivering services in areas such as networking, server- and data centre operations, security and support to the entire group. The position involves responsibility for specific technical areas in close collaboration with external suppliers. The position reports to the Head of Infrastructure and Support, ICT Department. Title: Senior System Administrator.

Duties and responsibilities

• Based on qualifications and the current needs in the department at any given time, one will be responsible for one or more technological areas. You will be part of a larger global team as well as in close collaboration with suppliers.
  
  
  • Plan and execute operations and changes
  • Responsible for system and operational documentation
  • Contribute actively to developing the department's ICT services
  • Management of the ICT infrastructure in cooperation with third parties
  • Participate in ICT projects
  • Assist support team

Qualifications

• Minimum BSc/BA in computer science or another relevant field, or with longer documented experience.
• Solid experience in several of the listed areas:
  • Network (Cisco)
  • Hyperconverged Infrastructure (Cisco Hyperflex HX)
  • Server virtualization (VMware vSphere)
  • Citrix, ADC (Netscaler)
  • Microsoft solutions, Servers, SCCM, Azure, M365, Radius.
  • Teams, telephony integration and meeting room solutions.
  • SQL, API, integration tools
  • Security solutions, backup (Veeam) and methodology
    
  • Professional communication skills in both a Scandinavian language and English.
  • Strong ITSM knowledge in the ITIL framework; request, change, incident, and problem management.
  • Driver's license class B
