Junior Project Cost Controller

We are looking for an operational and committed Junior Project Cost Controller to Vard Group AS. The position reports to Head of Project Cost Control in VARD.

The Junior Project Cost Controller will support the office in monitoring the progress of costs, the economic assessment of events that impact on the order margin and in the timely identification of variances with respect to the expenditure forecast. The aim of the cost controlling department is to verify the economic margin of the ship order.

Duties and responsibilities

• Economic and financial planning;
• Monitoring of the periodic progress by analyzing the deviations of the services and their main cost drivers;
• Periodic consolidation of the whole life forecast of the contract;
• Support in the preparation of the operating estimate and identification of the main cost drivers, definition of improvement plans and evaluation of economic benefits;
• Elaboration of monthly and quarterly contract reports
• Drafting and management of the Contract Risk Plan and coordination of the economic risk assessment activity
  

Qualifications

• Relevant education; economics or finance
• Fluent English speaking
• Excellent knowledge of the main IT tools, in particular the Office package
• Complete the profile characteristics such as: problem solving, team working attitude, analysis and synthesis skills, economic sensitivity, result orientation, flexibility and adaptability.
