Senior Planner

Vard Electro Brevik is recruiting for a Senior Planner.

The candidate must have planning experience using Primavera P6 professional as planning tool. Background from the ship building industry is preferred. 

Duties and responsibilities

• Develop schedules containing all agreed activities, deliverables, milestones based on the standard Cost- and Work Breakdown Structure.
• Provide regular reports on project status
• Perform analysis and scenario modelling for any potential project change and be able to provide risk-, issue-, cost-, resource- and delay analysis
• Work closely with yard planners to ensure cohesion between the Vard Electro activities and the main project schedule
• Be proactive and help Installation Supervisors to follow up and report status of the project during installation phase.
• Work closely with the client where required, to provide regular reports as per client requirements and contractual obligations
• Follow and maintain project monitoring processes, such as KPIs, total float, EV, resource and costing profiles based upon company process guidelines and planning best practice.
• Initiate and maintain close liaison with project managers, key members of the project team, stakeholders and client representatives.
• Other administrative duties within the projects

This position will be involved in projects that requires personnel security screening, including a criminal record check and background verification.

Qualifications

• Minimum Bachelor degree and relevant experience
• Project planning background, preferably in the ship building industry
• Technical knowledge on Primavera P6
• Good working knowledge of Microsoft Project or appropriate planning tool
• Good working knowledge of MS Office tools, (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
• Knowledge of project management practices
• Preferably knowledge of IFS

• Good communication and presentational skills when dealing with project staff and client
• Self-motivated with sound interpersonal skills coupled with a confident style of behaviour
• Good cooperative skills
• Fluent in Norwegian and English, both in writing and oral
• Candidate must be holder of a passport from a NATO Country
