Seeking Full-time Chef

Internationally recognized employer seeks an energetic, experienced, and flexible full-time chef (40 hours per week) to work in a large residence in Oslo.

The successful applicant will be responsible for a full range of meal planning and presentation, shopping/ordering for both daily and event food preparation, to include:

• Preparing and adhering to budgets

• Suggesting menus based on needs and preference for healthy selections

• Shopping for and cooking a full range of meals

• Preparing both food and drinks for intimate and large events

• Maintaining a current and robust wine and drinks inventory

• Providing guests with a verbal overview of menu (in English)

• Overseeing and coordinating activities of outside caterers and temporary kitchen staff, as needed for events - including an annual event with more than 2,000 guests

• Maintaining an immaculate commercial-grade kitchen and pantry

• Performing other duties as required

The successful candidate will be legally eligible to reside and work in Norway; have documented experience in a similar role with outstanding references; have exceptional interpersonal skills and get along easily with others. This position demands working patterns that require flexibility, which will include some early mornings, late evenings, holidays, and weekends.

A solid working knowledge of English is required.
