DevOps SW Engineer for Specialised Lending, Tieto Banktech
We are looking for a DevOps SW Engineer who wants to be part of Tieto Banktech. Tieto Banktech powers some of the Nordics’ most trusted banking systems with secure, reliable, and scalable solutions. Using automation, data, AI, and cloud, supported by hands-on guidance, we help banks modernize their core, strengthen trust, and deliver greater impact across the banking experience.
SLS (Specialised Lending System) is a mission-critical loan, guarantee and collateral management solution used by banks and export credit agencies. The platform supports complex corporate lending products and end-to-end processes across case handling, integrations, batch/settlement flows and regulatory-driven operations. SLS is primarily Microsoft-based (C#/.NET, SQL Server, IIS) with web/UI and service integration components, and it is operated across multiple customer and internal environments with high requirements for stability, traceability and security.
We are looking for a DevOps / Software Engineer who can take end-to-end ownership of how SLS is built, packaged, released and operated. You will work closely with development teams, architects, and operations (AO) to improve CI/CD pipelines, automate environment provisioning, strengthen release governance, and increase production robustness through better monitoring, runbooks and proactive maintenance. You thrive in dynamic environments and collaborate effectively with clients and colleagues. You enjoy working with varied and complex tasks, and you collaborate well in teams to find the best solutions.
Work tasks will be among other things:
Plan and execute deployments and upgrades to internal and customer environments (DEV/UAT/PREPROD/PROD), including release packaging, configuration and post-deploy verification
Develop and maintain CI/CD pipelines (build, test, security checks, artifact handling, approvals) and continuously improve deployment speed, safety and repeatability
Automate environment setup and configuration (IIS, Windows services, scheduled tasks, certificates, secrets) and support environment lifecycle management
Production AO work: monitoring, incident response, troubleshooting, root-cause analysis, and problem management in cooperation with customers and internal stakeholders
Improve observability for services and batch jobs (alerts, dashboards, log/trace correlation) and reduce recurring operational issues through automation and fixes
Document operational procedures (runbooks), support audits/compliance needs, and contribute to secure-by-default practices in pipelines and environments
You as a candidate:
Bachelor's or higher degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering or a related field
Minimum 3+ years of relevant experience (development, DevOps, operations engineering or similar)
Solid experience with our technology stack (C#/.NET, SQL Server, Windows/IIS) and understanding of operating business-critical systems
Hands-on experience with CI/CD and version control (Git; Azure DevOps/TFS or similar), including build/release pipelines and artifact management
Strong automation mindset (PowerShell and scripting), preferably with Infrastructure-as-Code and configuration management practices
Experience with monitoring/observability (logs, metrics, alerts) and structured incident/problem management (RCA, post-mortems, continuous improvement)
Security and compliance awareness: least-privilege, secrets handling, change control and traceability in regulated environments
Speak and write excellent English
Accurate, effective and well organized, with strong communication skills and ability to work in a team environment
