Norwegian Teacher

CIS Moss is seeking a dedicated and skilled Norwegian Teacher to join our specialist team. This is a 50% temporary position covering a staff absence for the 2026-27 school year. This position may increase in percentage and could lead to a permanent basis depending on the needs of the school.

As a Specialist Teacher, you will be responsible for supporting students’ academic and social development while creating a positive and inquiry-based learning environment  and implementing the IB framework within your subject area.

Key Responsibilities:

• Deliver high-quality Norwegian language instruction

• Differentiate to meet diverse learning needs

• Plan and document learning through Unit Planners and Weekly Planners

• Maintain assessment records and required documentation

• Communicate professionally with parents and colleagues

• Engage in IB certification and continued professional development

We are looking for someone who:

• Has relevant teaching qualifications in Norwegian. 30 Credits.

• Is organised, flexible, and professional

• Collaborates effectively within grade-level teams

• Has excellent English and Norwegian language skills

Police Certificate (Politiattest)
In accordance with § 4-3 of the Norwegian Private Schools Act (privatskolelova) and Chapter 8 of the Regulations to the Private Schools Act (forskrift til privatskolelova), the successful candidate will be required to provide a valid police certificate (politiattest) before commencing employment. The certificate must not be older than three months when submitted. A police certificate should not be included with the initial application and will only be requested from the candidate who is offered the position
