Director to lead the nordic NorFor collaboration

NorFor is a Nordic collaboration for feed evaluation and ration planning for dairy cattle, owned by leading agricultural organizations in Denmark, Norway, Sweden and Iceland.

The organization operates through a network model involving industry partners and universities, with a strong focus on science-based development and practical application.

We are now seeking a Director for NorFor to lead and further develop the collaboration.

The role combines overall responsibility for coordination, development and stakeholder relations with close cooperation in a Nordic network of owners, partners and research environments.

Responsibilities:

• Ensure the continuous biological and technical development of the NorFor model

• Ensure the long-term relevance of NorFor from a commercial and user perspective, including within sustainability

• Maintain and develop relationships with customers and owners

• Promote collaboration and a shared direction within the NorFor network organization

• Together with the management team, plan and prioritize development projects based on the agreed strategy, and ensure progress and delivery

• Enable clear and effective internal and external communication

• Establish and maintain close collaboration between NorFor and relevant universities in the Nordic countries

• Ensure well-functioning administrative processes, including invoicing, accounting and reporting

• Overall financial responsibility for NorFor, including business planning and budgeting

• Prepare, anchor and report matters to the Board

Qualifications / Competence Profile:

• Experience of leading operations, for example through project management or a managerial role, including interaction with boards

• Relevant knowledge or experience within agriculture, preferably dairy production

• Relevant academic background

• Strong collaborative skills, with the ability to work across organizations

• Fluency in English

Merits:

• Knowledge of feed evaluation for dairy cattle

• Fluency in one of the Nordic languages

Employment and Scope of the Role: The selected candidate will be offered full-time or part time employment with one of the Nordic NorFor partners: L&F or Seges (Denmark), TINE (Norway), Växa (Sweden), or RML (Iceland).

The role as Director of NorFor corresponds to approximately 50% of a full-time position.

The remaining time could be allocated to other relevant responsibilities within the employing organization, taking into account the individual’s competence profile, interests and the needs of the organization.
