VP QHSSE Well Services

With more than 50 years of experience and operations in 30 countries, Odfjell Technology is seeking a VP QHSSE Well Services to take on a key leadership role in a global organisation committed to safe, high quality, efficient, and sustainable operations.
This is an opportunity for an experienced QHSSE leader who wants to make a tangible impact across international Well Services operations. In this role, you will have overall responsibility for developing, maintaining, and continuously improving a robust QHSSE management framework and operations for Well Services. You will work closely with the Well Services management team, global operations and business lines, and the wider QHSSE organisation across business areas to strengthen performance, support compliance, and drive continuous improvement.
Work location is Stavanger or Bergen.
Qualifications
- Higher relevant education (MSc or BSc). Extensive relevant experience may compensate for a lack of formal education.
- Minimum ten years' relevant experience in QHSSE management, preferably within oil service and quality management
- International experience and knowledge of, and/or experience from, the relevant industry.
- Documented leadership experience and strong leadership capabilities.
- Strong competence in quality management, including qualifications as audit leader and investigation leader.
- Efficient communication, collaboration, and stakeholder engagement skills.
- Fluent in English and Norwegian, both written and spoken
Typical responsibilities - Develop and maintain QHSSE strategies, programmes, initiatives, objectives, and action plans within Well Services.
- Lead the Well Services QHSSE organisation and actively contribute as a member of the Well Services management team.
- Advise management in QHSSE matters and contribute to continuous improvement.
- Ensure robust quality management in accordance with relevant ISO certifications and API Q1/Q2 requirements for applicable sites.
- Develop and monitor robust emergency response organisations and contingency plans for all relevant sites.
- Support and advise the EVP Well Services and the management group on QHSSE-related matters.
- Advise the organisation on changes in legislation, relevant standards and other requirements, and support the implementation of effective policies to ensure compliance.
- Monitor, report, and analyse QHSSE performance, including KPIs and relevant data.
- Drive an effective management review process within Well Services.
- Ensure the quality and effectiveness of corrective and preventive actions.
- Ensure that an audit and verification programme is established and followed.
- Conduct management visits, audits, and investigations.
- Participate in tender processes and maintain a proactive dialogue with clients and other relevant stakeholders.
- Lead and improve Well Services HOPEX processes and CMS procedures.
- Ensure effective MOC processes that support strategic QHSSE and business objectives.
- Promote a QHSSE culture based on Human Performance principles, emphasizing learning and system improvement.
- Contribute to QHSSE collaboration across business areas and perform corporate tasks, including input to OTL annual and sustainability reports, environmental ESG reporting and action plans, and contribution to the corporate management system
