Business Analyst – Data, Automation & AI
Do you want to help shape the future of a growing technology company?
4Subsea is looking for a Business Analyst to join our team. You will work closely with senior leadership and management across the organisation and will play a key role in turning data into insight, driving efficiency improvements and building the next generation of analytical tools and automated workflows.
The position will be based at our Asker office. We are open to both junior and more experienced candidates, and responsibilities may be adapted accordingly. We are looking for someone with genuine curiosity, a drive to improve how we work and the ability to translate complex data into clear insight and decisions.
Key responsibilities
Design, develop and maintain dashboards and reports in Power BI to support decision-making across business units and leadership
Analyse business and financial data to identify trends, inefficiencies and opportunities
Drive automation and digitalisation initiatives across administrative and operational processes
Develop and deploy AI agent solutions to support internal workflows and efficiency gains
Act as a trusted analytical resource for the leadership team — preparing material for management meetings, board reporting and strategic reviews
Collaborate with Finance, Operations and IT to ensure data quality and process alignment
Identify and implement improvements to existing tools and workflows using Excel, Power Automate and AI-powered tools
Qualifications we value
Higher education at university level, degree in Business, Finance or Accounting
Strong proficiency in Power BI, including data modelling and DAX
Advanced Excel skills
Experience with or strong interest in AI agents and automation tools (e.g. Claude, Copilot, Power Automate, Python)
Ability to communicate complex analysis clearly to non-technical stakeholders
Experience working with ERP data
Good written and verbal communication skills in Norwegian and English
Structured and analytical mindset with strong attention to detail

Comfortable working directly with senior leaders and adapting communication style accordingly
