We’re looking for AI-focused Senior Software Engineers to pioneer our AI Enablement Team!

At Oda, we develop affordable grocery services to make the logistics of living surprisingly easy. We started by building Norway’s leading online grocery store, and we’re building one of the most effective retail systems in the world, delivering groceries to thousands of Scandinavian doorsteps every week.

To supercharge our entire organization - from product engineering to core support functions - we are establishing a brand-new, dedicated AI Enablement Team. We are seeking two Senior Software Engineers who want to shape Oda's long-term AI strategy, tooling landscape, and internal adoption practices from the ground up – while also demonstrating best practices building internal tools and apps with AI themselves. The team will report to the CTO directly.

What this team will do

The AI Enablement team isn't about writing strategy decks—it’s about building the systems that make things happen. Our goal is to design, construct, and operate the AI patterns and internal products that help everyone at Oda work with maximum efficiency.

Our primary focus is the Core AI Layer. We build the shared infrastructure that supports all of our AI work, including custom LLM gateways, cost-tracking controls, evaluation harnesses, and secure data pipelines.

Beyond that, we focus on two other critical areas:

• Tooling & Strategy: We select the right enterprise vendors, build internal applications, and work closely with our Cybersecurity and GRC partners to set the policies that keep our systems safe.

• Company-Wide Amplification: We demystify AI for both technical and non-technical teams, lowering the barrier to entry and helping foster an organic culture of builders across the entire company.

The Roles

We believe that exceptional engineering infrastructure requires two distinct, complementary focuses. To build this team, we are hiring two Senior Software Engineers. The Core Platform Builder

This role is for those who thrive in deep-focus, highly analytical technical environments. You care deeply about developer experience and enjoy building scalable, rock-solid core platforms. Your focus will be on designing backend patterns, fine-tuning LLMOps tools (like Langfuse or LiteLLM), managing token economics, creating secure internal protocol servers, and safeguarding our infrastructure alongside cybersecurity.

The Collaborative Enabler

This role is for those energized by cross-functional teamwork and immediate feedback loops. You enjoy connecting with people and acting as a technical bridge across the organization. Your focus will be on building internal tooling interfaces, collaborating with support and commercial functions to automate workflows, leading workshops, running an AI community, and transforming functional needs into rapid AI prototypes.

What you’ll be doing

• Plan, design, and implement software that forms Oda’s internal AI ecosystem.

• Own technical initiatives end-to-end, writing clear, scalable, and maintainable Python or backend code.

• Establish engineering guardrails and best practices to ensure reliability, visibility, and data privacy without inserting unnecessary complexity.

• Actively guide and upskill engineering squads and business units on how to leverage state-of-the-art AI systems safely.

What you’ll need to succeed

• 5+ years of professional software engineering experience (ideally with strong Python/backend competencies).

• 2+ years of hands-on experience developing with LLM APIs, prompt architecture, retrieval systems (RAG), or autonomous agent frameworks in production environments.

• Experience working cross-functionally with diverse technical disciplines and non-technical stakeholders alike.

• High autonomy, a growth mindset, and a desire to navigate ambiguity to move fast and learn.

• Professional fluency in English.
