For our client, we are seeking a skilled and motivated C++ Software Developer to join a high-tech and international environment within medical technology. The role includes both new development and enhancement of existing solutions, with a strong focus on performance, quality, and scalability. In this role, you will work on the development of modern C++ software for hand-held medical ultrasound systems across multiple platforms. You will contribute throughout the development lifecycle, from design and implementation to testing and continuous improvement, in a highly demanding and quality-driven environment.

You will play a key role in developing robust and scalable solutions and collaborate closely with cross-functional teams in a complex and regulated setting.
Furthermore, you will:

• Design, implement, and test modern C++ software for hand-held ultrasound applications on macOS, iOS, Android, and Windows
• Design and implement SDK functionality for ultrasound data access and acquisition control
• Implement image processing functionality using modern graphics APIs
• Develop robust, well-documented, and maintainable software for both new features and enhancements to existing systems
• Contribute to high code quality through testable software design and solid unit test coverage

The right candidate is self-driven, structured, and motivated by solving complex technical challenges. You are comfortable taking ownership and able to balance quality and progress in a demanding environment. You are curious about medical technology and want to contribute to solutions with real societal impact. To succeed in this role, we also expect you to be persistent, structured, and capable of tackling complex engineering challenges with a high level of execution. You have a genuine curiosity for medical ultrasound and the technological opportunities and challenges within this domain. Furthermore, you communicate clearly and efficiently with both technical and non-technical stakeholders, and you bring a "first-time-right" mindset, balancing speed and quality in a highly regulated environment.

Furthermore, you have:

• A degree in Computer Science or another relevant STEM field (relevant experience may compensate for lack of formal education)
• Strong experience with modern C++ (C++11 or later)
• Experience designing and implementing complex software systems
• Experience with unit testing and testable code design
• Experience with graphics programming (e.g., OpenGL, Direct3D, Vulkan, or WebGPU)
• Experience with cross-platform development for macOS, iOS, Android, and/or Windows
• Good communication skills in English, both written and spoken

It is considered an advantage if you also have:

• Experience with native mobile application development for iOS and Android
• Experience with Qt and QML
