Experienced Service Staff Wanted for Lillehammer Fjellstue at Nordseter

Lillehammer Fjellstue & Hytteutleie is looking for 2 flexible and experienced service employees for the summer season from approximately late June until mid-August.

We are a small tourism and accommodation business located at Nordseter in the Lillehammer mountains. In our company, everyone helps each other across departments, so we are looking for people who are practical, service-minded and comfortable working independently.

We are specifically looking for applicants who already have relevant work experience within tourism, hospitality, customer service, cleaning or practical maintenance work.

Of course, you will receive training in our routines, systems and the way we operate. However, the training will mainly consist of sharing information about our business --- we expect you to already understand what good customer service means, be able to work independently and understand what it means to put the guests' needs first.

This position is therefore best suited for someone with enough experience, maturity and confidence to handle varied working days in a small business.

Work tasks

Your workday may include:

• Cleaning and inspection of cabins and apartments

• Guest check-in and check-out

• Working in the reception and small kiosk

• Simple booking and reservation tasks

• Guest service and tourist information

• General maintenance of buildings, inventory and equipment

• Simple repairs of furniture, small electrical equipment and similar items

• Lawn mowing, painting and outdoor maintenance

• Supervising the area after reception closing hours

During the summer season, we operate a reception with a small kiosk for our self-catering cabins and apartments. The reception is open every day, and we need assistance with selected reception shifts during the week.

Qualifications

You must have:

• Relevant work experience from service, hospitality, cleaning or practical maintenance

• Driving licence class B -- we have a hotel car available

• Ability to work independently and take responsibility

• Practical and technical understanding

• Good work capacity and organizational skills

• Good cooperation and teamwork skills

For reception work, you must be able to communicate well in Norwegian or another Scandinavian language. English is also used in our daily work.

Knowledge of Visbook is an advantage, but not a requirement.
