As Senior Technical Sales Lead at Raufoss Engineering AS, you will take a central role in expanding our presence in both the Norwegian defense sector and international markets. We are entering a strong growth phase with increasing interest in both our products and our engineering capabilities. Our solutions are used in everything from secure weapons storage to complex modules for military vessels and vehicles. To support our ambitious expansion plans, we are now strengthening our commercial team with a senior professional who can drive market development, build strategic relationships, and convert opportunities into long-term business.
In this role, you will work closely with our management team and engineering specialists to align customer needs with our technical solutions. You will have clear responsibility, significant influence, and the opportunity to shape our commercial strategy as we scale our activities nationally and internationally. Key Responsibilities
Customer Relations — Identify, develop, and close opportunities with new and existing clients.
Strategic Planning — Drive product adoption, build long-term relationships, and develop sales strategies for both domestic and export markets.
Network Building — Establish and maintain a strong network with key stakeholders to identify new prospects and partnerships.
Collaboration — Work closely with management and engineering teams to align commercial, marketing, and technical objectives.
Technical Consulting — Analyze customer needs and recommend, demonstrate, and explain technical products and solutions.
Product Sales Expertise — Act as the bridge between our technologies and customer requirements, with expert-level understanding of our products, their applications, and their competitive advantages.
Skills and Qualifications
Background: Experience from industry or military environments is a strong advantage.
Sales Acumen: Proven experience with complex B2B sales cycles, negotiations, and CRM tools.
Communication: Ability to translate technical details into clear business value for clients.
Commercial Mindset: Strong understanding of margins, risk management, and market dynamics.
Interpersonal Skills: Ability to build trust and relationships with technical staff, buyers, and decision-makers at multiple levels.

We combine project management, material expertise, production insight, and practical problem-solving to deliver high-quality products.
We have extensive deliveries to the Norwegian Armed Forces through a nationwide framework agreement for weapons storage installations, and our products are used for secure weapons storage both nationally and internationally. In addition, we are a leading Norwegian supplier of certified security cabinets for the consumer market, including family safes and gun safes.
The company is now investing in engineering projects within both the civilian sector and the international defense industry. We expect significant contracts in the coming years and are therefore building a broad engineering team capable of developing advanced modules with integrated functionality. This includes mechanical structures, mechanisms, material technology, hydraulics, and electronics. In addition to development and project management, we also deliver the final solutions.
