We are hiring a Bid Manager
As we continue to grow across both defence and commercial markets, we are now looking for a Bid Manager who can help us lead and structure complex proposal processes. This is a role for someone who enjoys creating order, coordinating people, and turning technical expertise into strong and competitive customer deliveries.
You will work closely with sales, engineering, product management, operations, and finance, ensuring we deliver high-quality tenders and proposals across a wide range of projects and markets. Some opportunities involve defence and security frameworks with strict compliance requirements, while others move quickly within commercial autonomy and offshore operations.
In this position, you will become a key part of how we position Maritime Robotics globally — helping us communicate the value of our technology in a clear, professional, and competitive way.
You will report directly to our Chief Sales Officer (CSO).
Your key responsibilities:
Lead and coordinate the full proposal process from opportunity review to final submission.
Establish and maintain structure around tender follow-up, schedules, compliance matrices, and internal responsibilities.
Coordinate closely with engineering, product, operations, finance, and sales teams throughout the bid process.
Translate technical capabilities and complex autonomy systems into clear and value-driven proposal content.
Support pricing and commercial modelling together with our finance and product teams.
Manage proposals across both defence and commercial maritime markets.
Ensure compliance with customer requirements, procurement frameworks, and security-related standards.
Build and maintain proposal documentation, reusable content, technical material, and internal bid libraries.
Contribute to continuous improvement by evaluating submitted bids, workflows, and proposal quality.
Relevant expertise in this role:
3–5 years of relevant experience within bid management, proposal management, project coordination, or similar roles.
Experience from maritime technology, defence, robotics, offshore, aerospace, or other complex technical industries is highly valued.
Experience working with tenders, procurement processes, or larger commercial proposals.
Comfortable collaborating closely with technical environments and understanding complex systems and customer requirements.
Strong organizational skills and the ability to handle multiple ongoing processes and deadlines simultaneously.
Experience with CRM systems, collaboration platforms, and common office tools.
Fluency in English is required. Norwegian is an advantage, but not a requirement.
Ability to obtain and maintain a national security clearance is highly preferred.
Who are you, then?
Structured and proactive, enjoying the process of creating momentum in complex projects.
A natural coordinator who loves moving things forward across teams and disciplines.
Curious by nature, with a drive to understand both the technical and commercial side of a project.
A clear communicator who knows how to simplify complex information without losing important details.
Resilient and adaptable in an environment where priorities shift quickly and where teamwork is essential to succeed.
Energized by taking ownership of our core values: Innovate! Enable! Deliver!
What we offer
A stimulating and dynamic work environment at the forefront of innovative maritime technology.
A meaningful job with an important social mission. The autonomy we create ensures sustainable, efficient, and safe ocean space operations worldwide.
A collaborative and growing team of passionate and highly competent professionals.
Opportunities for professional growth and skill development.
A comprehensive and well-organized benefits package.
A strong sense of community, plenty of humour, and social activities that bind us together in a busy everyday life.
The position is based at our head office in Trondheim and requires some international travel.
This employment will require security clearance by the Norwegian National Security Authority and is subject to a background check.

Om arbeidsgiveren
Since 2005, Maritime Robotics has pioneered and led the development of advanced sea drones (Uncrewed Surface Vessels USVs) and maritime autonomy. Our core technology, the autonomous navigation system (ANS), enables safe and efficient remote and autonomous operations at sea.
These robotic solutions are vital for precise seabed mapping, ocean research, securing marine infrastructure, and operations in challenging environments. Globally deployed ANS and USVs contribute to sustainable, efficient, and safe maritime navigation, minimizing fuel use. In today’s world, our technology is also crucial for protecting communities and assets. We see growing demand from defence, security, hydrography, marine construction, and the energy sector.
