Mechanical Design Engineer – Rudder Products
Neuver Maritime is now seeking a skilled design engineer to join our rudder team in Ålesund. You will be part of a dedicated team providing rudder and maneuvering systems to ships worldwide. The position offers professional growth, responsibility for technical documentation, and the opportunity to innovate tomorrow's solutions.
You will work closely with product management, supply chain, sales, and our global after‑market organization, and contribute directly to product performance and lifecycle quality.
Key responsibilities
· Design, modelling and validation of rudder systems and aft ship configurations
· Ensure product specifications meet relevant requirements and quality standards
· Optimize product and process configurations for performance and quality
· Improve engineering tools, templates, and workflows
· Support sales processes and CPQ‑related engineering
Qualifications and experience
· Bachelor’s or master’s degree in engineering
· Proficiency in the use of advanced CAE software and PLM systems; we use Siemens NX Designcenter and Simcenter
· Experience with design for manufacturing, preferably in the maritime sector or similar heavy industry, is an advantage
· Fluent in English and Norwegian, both written and oral; additional competence in other languages is an advantage

· Demonstrate adaptability and a commitment to ongoing learning, contributing to both personal and professional development
