Head of Data

Axess is establishing a new Head of Data role to build and own the company’s enterprise data foundation.The purpose of this role is to ensure that data from our core systems is structured, governed, and reusable, enabling trusted management reporting, scalable Power BI usage, and AI‑enabled solutions across the group.This is a strategic role with clear ownership and long-term impact. It is not a reporting or dashboard production role, but a role focused on data platforms, data models, and governance.Key ResponsibilitiesAs Head of Data, you will:

• Own and develop Axess Group’s enterprise data platform
• Design and govern common data models and KPI definitions across key domains (e.g. Finance, HR, Operations, HSEQ)
• Provide certified datasets that enable governed self‑service in Power BI
• Ensure data is AI‑ready, traceable, and suitable for automation and advanced analytics
• Establish clear data ownership, documentation, and basic governance structures
• Act as a bridge between business needs, IT architecture, and AI governance

We are looking for a senior, pragmatic profile with Higher education and experience in:

• Enterprise data platforms, data lakes / lakehouse or data warehouse architectures eg. Microsoft Fabric
• Data modelling and semantic layers for analytics
• Working closely with BI tools such as Power BI
• Establishing data standards, structure, and governance in complex organizations
• Translating business needs into scalable data solutions
