Join our SysCore team in Oslo

Are you a technically curious developer who thrives at the intersection of finance and technology? At NBIM one of the world's largest sovereign wealth funds, we are looking for a Application Developer to join our SysCore team in Oslo. You will play a key role in building, configuring and maintaining the systems that underpin our investment operations, with SimCorp Dimension at the core. Duties and responsibilities

The role

Build, configure and maintain code in NBIM's core systems and internal built applications. Responsibility for major parts of SimCorp Dimension and supporting software and outline solutions for optimal use of Simcorp Dimension.

What you will do

• Maintain and modernize SimCorp Dimension platform
• Build and maintain API toolings of internal and external systems
• Coordinate with SysCore Solutions on deployment timing and dependencies
• Utilise AI as a productivity tool
• Supporting application upgrades, integrations, and migrations across the platform environment
  

What you need

• Enthusiasm to learn and use new software
• Strong Python skills for modernization
• Experience in use of AI as a tool and in agentic flows
• (REST) API implementation and development experience
• Code review skills
• Testing experience and Git version control
• AWS basics and AI-assisted development tools helpful
• AWS Certified Developer Associate preferred
• Bachelor's degree in IT, Computer Science, or equivalent experience
  

Desired qualifications

• Ideally, you have SimCorp Dimension experience, or you are familiar with implementing and configuring financial software
  
• Finance knowledge on the following topics will be considered as an advantage.
  
• Understanding of equity, fixed income, and FX across portfolio management, valuation, performance, and execution
  
• FIX protocol knowledge, Experience with EMS platforms and system integrations
  
• Knowledge of order lifecycle management and execution patterns
  
• Understanding of portfolio management concepts (positions, P&L, valuation methods, performance attribution, compliance)
  
• Insight into how performance, attribution, risk and analytics are calculated and used in an asset manager context
  
• Knowledge of corporate actions processing across different instrument types
  
• Settlement and reconciliation workflow expertise
  
  

Who you are

• Experience as a Business Analyst or Consultant from banks, asset managers, insurers or consulting firms in the front, back office or middle office
  
• Ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams and internal stakeholders
  
• Good English as it is our corporate language and is used in all communications
  
• Actively participate in knowledge exchange with colleagues across the organisation
  
• Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills, with the ability to analyze and resolve complex technical issues
  
• Willingness to share knowledge
• Willingness to travel
