Aker Solutions take care of energy assets in a Life Cycle perspective. From the start to end of production Aker Solutions ensures safe operations, optimizes field utilization, and enables field life-extensions. We do business development and execute modifications and maintenance projects. There is a global trend towards decarbonization, and we aim to help our customers to decarbonize their operations and measure their emissions to manage them more efficiently, for instance by delivering brownfield electrification of existing offshore facilities. Now we explore opportunities in the aftermarket for renewables, to deliver offshore maintenance for the renewable sector when the market is ready. Aker Solutions employs approximately 11,000 people in more than 20 countries.
What will you be doing?
Performing field instrument engineering, system design, automation and control engineering, and fire & gas engineering
Working with layout design, cable sizing and calculations, and field instrumentation
Preparing MTOs, requisitions and installation job‑cards
Providing input to other disciplines and coordinating with suppliers and client
Reporting progress and maintaining activity schedules for your discipline
Supporting continuous improvement and contributing engineering input to work packages
Completing as‑built updates and red‑line markups from offshore
Reporting important matters to the Discipline Lead and ensuring quality and HSSE within your scope
Identifying changes and providing input to change requests
Conducting offshore surveys
Providing general support to the instrument department, with focus on EWP and jobcarding
We think you should have:
Minimum 5 years of project experience
Good knowledge of relevant design rules, regulations and standards
Ability to take responsibility, make decisions and work proactively
Strong communication skills and leadership qualities, including mentoring junior engineers
Knowledge of NORSOK and relevant NCS standards
EX Basic and EXi Basic training, and GSK offshore course
Project‑specific software skills
Relevant education: vocational school, bachelor or master
Strong teamwork abilities and good language skills
