Country: NorwayAt Santander, our People & Culture function enables better business decisions through strong data foundations, advanced analytics, and AI-driven insights. We are now looking for a People Data & AI Specialist to take ownership of the People Data domain in the Nordics and help shape the next generation of data-driven and AI-enabled HR processes.
In this role, you ensure robust data governance and regulatory compliance while advancing our People Analytics and AI capabilities. You will operate at the intersection of structure and innovation — safeguarding operational excellence today while driving smarter, more automated, and insight-driven HR processes for the future.
You will collaborate closely with our Global Data & AI team to align data models, reporting standards, and AI initiatives, contributing to a strong and future-ready People Analytics foundation across markets.
What you will be responsible for
- Act as Data Steward for Workday and HR dashboards, ensuring high-quality and accurate HR master data
- Own data integrity in Workday, maintaining structured and reliable organizational and compensation data aligned with internal standards and HR metrics
- Perform regular data quality controls and continuously strengthen data governance practices
- Develop, optimize, and maintain HR reporting and analytical insights for management and regulatory purposes
- Act as key People Data contact in audits and regulatory reporting
- Lead HR contributions to the Annual Report and CSRD reporting
- Lead Equal Pay Gap and Gender Pay Gap analyses
- Support and co-drive salary and bonus review processes, including reward analytics
- Support Material Risk Taker (MRT) assessments
- Deliver ad-hoc reporting and data-driven insights to business stakeholders
- Drive continuous improvement of People Analytics processes, identifying opportunities for automation, predictive analytics, and responsible AI adoption within HR
We believe you bring Technical & Analytical Expertise
- Strong analytical capabilities with experience working with large, structured datasets and data modelling
- Advanced Excel skills and experience with SQL or similar querying tools
- Experience with BI platforms (e.g., Power BI), Snowflake, or similar analytics environments
Domain & Governance Competence
- Solid experience as a Workday key user
- Strong understanding of data governance, data quality management, and regulatory reporting
- Experience within Reward and Compensation processes, such as salary reviews, bonus cycles, pay structures, or pay gap analysis
Personal Profile
- Structured, detail-oriented, and take ownership
- Comfortable operating in a fast-paced, evolving, and regulated environment
- Curious about how technology and AI can improve HR effectiveness and decision-making
- Fluent in Norwegian and English, both written and spoken
Your background
- Degree in Data Science, Business Analytics, Economics, Engineering, HR Analytics, or a similar quantitative field
- 5+ years of relevant experience within HR systems, analytics, data governance, reward processes, or similar data-driven roles
- Experience leading reporting processes and cross-functional initiatives, ideally in collaboration with Data & AI environments
- Experience from an international or matrix organization is an advantage
- Extensive relevant experience may compensate for formal qualifications.
