As Global Sales Manager for Dry Cargo Vessels, you will oversee ABB Marine System sales activities globally within a pre-selected set of Vessel types like Container vessels, Bulk Carriers, Multipurpose vessels, and specialized cargo vessels (RoRo, Barges, etc).
As a Global Sales Manager for Dry Cargo Vessels, you will acting as the main liaison between local sales in different regions and coordinating global sales efforts for assigned vessel types, you will play a crucial role in fostering relationships with both current and new clients. Your responsibilities also include staying engaged with emerging technologies and ensuring they align with future market needs. Collaborating closely with internal and external stakeholders, you will ensure our offerings remain aligned with market demands for the designated vessel types.
Main accountabilities
Promote ABB’s full marine solutions portfolio and position us as the preferred partner for owners, operators, charterers, and designers evaluating new vessel projects.
Shape, refine, and implement effective sales strategies and value propositions to drive commercial success across your assigned vessel types.
Lead and coordinate key sales pursuits, collaborating closely with Solution Managers, LBL Sales, Service teams, and Marine Propulsion Sales to advance strategic opportunities.
Communicate clearly and consistently with internal and external stakeholders, ensuring high quality, timely information flow throughout the sales process.
Drive Capture Team activities and contribute to budgeting and forecasting, playing an active role in steering ABB’s long-term commercial performance.
What you bring
Engineering or Business degree, or relevant minimum 5 years of international experience from the Marine industry. Previous work experience in the cargo segment will be considered as an asset.
Ability to build long term relationships with customers and further be able to identify and understand the customer needs.
Proven experience in effectively presenting solutions to demanding customers and influencing their perspectives.
Strong team player with a target and solution orientated mindset.
Global Sales experience with high integrity.
Proven cultural awareness.
Willingness to travel frequently
