Join us on our growth journey
Are you passionate about cutting-edge technology and want to make a real impact to strengthen Europes autonomy? We are a fast-growing scale-up building capabilities within GNSS testing. We are looking for talented individuals with backgrounds in tech, drone, space, defence or similar industries.
The demand for our services is rapidly increasing and our ambition is clear: to become a global leader in our space. We have product-market fit, a growing international customer base, and strong momentum — now we’re ready to scale our technology to meet the demand. We’re looking for an RF Engineer to help accelerate our technology development.
About us
Testnor is a technology company aiming to build technological robustness and resilience through testing. We are expanding our team to meet the global demand for testing advanced and innovative technologies for operations in some of the world’s most challenging environments – the Arctic.
With support from NATO, the Norwegian and European Space Agencies, Testnor develops novel services and digital products to ensure that mission-critical technologies — in transportation, aerospace, defence, autonomy, and more — can perform reliably under demanding and extreme conditions. Our services are highly requested by some of the world’s leading technology companies, government agencies, and international research institutions.
Growing demand
In today’s increasingly connected and unpredictable world, resilient communication, navigation, and sensing technologies are essential for civilian safety and coordination. Natural disasters, cyberattacks, and electromagnetic interference can disrupt critical systems, threatening emergency response, healthcare, transportation, and everyday life.
We operate in a dynamic and rapidly evolving market, and our customers develop and apply novel and disruptive technologies where rigorous validation and assessment are essential to ensure reliability, security, and real-world performance in complex and challenging environments.
We deliver services within monitoring, recordings, and transmissions of radio-frequency disturbances, mainly within the GNSS part of the spectrum. We are building a platform for both field- and laboratory use, consisting of high-end off-the-shelf equipment, supplemented by custom tailored in-house automations and processing software. You’ll get hands-on with both the hardware and the software and help us shape it into a world-class technology platform.
What we offer
In Testnor you’ll join a small, fast-paced and highly motivated team. You’ll work closely with both tech and non-tech employees, and get your say in how we go about our business. You’ll be given a high degree of freedom and responsibility, and get to choose your own tools. We believe that skillful people thrive when given the opportunity and room to be creative. We strive to create a supportive and fun place to work, a place where you’ll make new friends and get to develop great products.
We’ll offer you competitive terms & insurances, and the opportunity to make a real impact in a growing company.
The role
As an RF engineer, you will work directly on our hardware and software platforms, developing our services for advanced radio-frequency interference resilience testing, both in the laboratory and in the field. You will work closely with our engineering team and get to work on all parts of the radio system stack, from antenna to SDR, analogue to digital, on both recording and transmission. This is a role for someone who thrives in hands-on interaction with both hardware and software, and has the ability combine a set of individual components into a larger functional system.
What you’ll do
Operate Testnor equipment during our full-scale open-air test campaigns where everything from small receivers to drones and airplanes is subjected to advanced electromagnetic disturbances.
Help develop a world-class technology platform for high resolution recordings of radio interference signals.
Assist in the operation and development of our in-house RF lab facilities.
Develop software and systems for automation of procedures, test operations, documentation and reporting, in cooperation with our software developers.
What you’ll bring?
MSc. within a relevant engineering field (e.g., space technologies, electrical engineering, tele-communications, physics or cybernetics)
Experience with RF signal processing and analysis (keywords: spectrum analysers, signal generators, SDR’s, GNSS receivers, I/Q data).
You have some experience in programming and/or data science and are eager to learn more.
You take pride in your work and stand proudly by what you produce.
You appreciate constructive feedback on your work and provide the same to your colleagues.
You enjoy working with non-tech people and developing great products together.
You are fluent in Norwegian (preferably) and/or English
You are not afraid to wander into the unknown and acquire skills within new areas and technologies when needed.
Why join us?
Real influence – You will shape how our technology develops
High-growth environment – We’re past the risky early stage and are now focused on commercial growth
Equity & upside – Competitive salary and potential equity participation
Talented, driven team – Work alongside founders and leaders who are deeply committed
