Wilhelmsen Ship Management (WSM) is looking for a Vessel Manager – Gas Carriers /LNG Bunker vessels/LPG Carriers

Location: Lysaker | Type: Full-time, Hybrid

To strengthen our LPG/LNG team Wilhelmsen Ship Management (Norway) AS is looking for a Vessel Manager preferably with experience as Chief Engineer / 2nd Engineer.

What you will be doing:

• Responsibility for the technical performance of assigned vessels (2-3 vessels)  

• Ensure compliance with statutory and industry recommended rules and regulations. 

• Visit and carry out vessel inspections onboard.

• Support vessels on matters related to technical operations.

• Keep technical, marine and cargo operations statistics. 

• Ensure compliance with statutory and industry recommended rules and regulations, such as SIRE 2.0 etc.

• Prepare yearly budgets and perform monthly and quarterly cost control.

• Owner/ client reporting.

• Attend operational meetings with owner/client, vessel and charter.

In cooperation with HSEQ, analyze and respond to Undesired Events as well as Shipboard Management System Reviews and Participate and plan corrective and preventive actions on technical, marine and cargo related matters. The position will also assist in response submission to relevant parties such as OCIMF, Oil Majors, CDI and RightShip, and support on matters related to charter parties & charterer communication. 

What we are looking for:

• Technical/maritime qualifications, preferably with seagoing experience as Chief Engineer or 2nd Engineer or as Naval architect /Class surveyor

• Good command of oral and written English. 

• Basic computer knowledge.

• Environmental focused. 

• Excellent communication skills and ability to work in Team.

• Strong interpersonal skills to build relationships with ship staff, vessel owners, charterers, and internal or external support teams.
