Installation Engineer

On behalf of an exciting client within the oil and gas industry, we are seeking an experienced Installation Engineer with solid expertise in offshore mooring systems. This is a temporary project-based posistion with an immediate start-up.

The role involves technical follow-up of installation activities, review and quality assurance of technical documentation, and close collaboration with suppliers and internal technical disciplines to ensure the correct delivery and installation of mooring systems.

This position is well suited for candidates with hands-on offshore project experience who thrive at the intersection of technical analysis, project coordination, and supplier management.

Key Responsibilities

• Technical follow-up of offshore mooring system installation activities
• Review and quality assurance of technical documentation
• Evaluate and provide recommendations related to technical solutions and engineering analyses
• Review and follow up on Purchase Orders (POs)
• Maintain close dialogue with suppliers to monitor progress, quality, and scope of delivery
• Contribute to the planning and execution of offshore installation activities
• Participate in technical meetings and provide subject-matter expertise within mooring engineering

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Engineering (Marine, Mechanical, Structural, or equivalent relevant discipline)
• 3-5 years of experience as an Installation Engineer or in a similar role
• Proven experience with offshore mooring systems
• Experience reviewing technical drawings and engineering documentation
• Experience with procurement follow-up and supplier management
• Structured and detail-oriented, with the ability to ensure alignment between purchase specifications and delivered equipment
