Job Description:

• Lead the planning, design, and execution of electrical engineering projects within utilities operations.
• Oversee development of electrical schematics, specifications, and system layouts.
• Ensure compliance with industry standards, safety regulations, and local electrical codes.
• Conduct feasibility studies, risk assessments, and system performance evaluations.
• Collaborate with project managers, technicians, and cross-functional teams.
• Review and approve engineering designs, calculations, and technical documentation.
• Support commissioning, testing, and troubleshooting of electrical systems.
• Mentor junior engineers and provide technical leadership across engineering teams.
• Drive innovation, energy efficiency optimization, and reliability improvements.

Qualifications:

• Mandatory skills
• Strong knowledge of utility electrical systems (transmission, distribution, substations).
• Expertise in electrical design tools and engineering software (AutoCAD, ETAP or equivalent).
• Experience with safety and regulatory compliance standards.
• Ability to lead engineering teams and large-scale projects.
• Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and problem-solving skills.
• Preferred Skills
• Knowledge of smart grid technologies and digital utility solutions.
• Understanding of renewable energy integration and energy storage systems.
• Experience with automation, SCADA, or protection systems.

• Strong communication and stakeholder management skills.
