Required Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related discipline.

2-5 years of relevant experience in mechanical package engineering, with at least 3 years in gas treatment or fuel handling projects.

In-depth knowledge of equipment used in gas processing, fuel treatment, or power plant auxiliary systems.
-
Strong understanding of relevant international codes and standards:
- API 617/618/614 , ASME Section VIII , ASME B31.3 , API 660 , ISO 10438, etc.

Experience in preparing and reviewing engineering documentation: datasheets, inspection and test plans (ITPs), vendor documents, and quality plans.
-
Proficiency in engineering tools (AutoCAD, Navisworks, SolidWorks, or similar).
-
Ability to read and interpret P&IDs, isometrics, and general arrangement drawings.
-
Excellent communication skills for effective coordination with clients, vendors, and internal teams.
Preferred Qualifications

Experience in EPC projects for gas treatment facilities, refineries, or power generation plants.

Familiarity with 3D model reviews and digital plant design platforms (e.g., SmartPlant, AVEVA).

Experience with site support during construction and commissioning.

Arbeidsoppgaver

Develop technical specifications, datasheets, and requisitions for mechanical equipment packages such as:
-
Gas compressors (reciprocating/screw/centrifugal)
-
Fuel gas treatment skids
-
Knock-out drums, filters, and separators
-
Heat exchangers (air-cooled/shell & tube)
-
Fuel forwarding systems
-
Pressure vessels and utility skids (e.g., nitrogen, instrument air, lube oil systems)
-

Coordinate with process engineers to define equipment performance requirements.
-
Interface with vendors during bidding, technical clarifications, and design reviews.
-
Conduct technical bid evaluations and make vendor recommendations.
-
Monitor and manage vendor documentation and submittals for compliance with project requirements and standards (API, ASME, ISO, PED, etc.).
-
Coordinate with internal disciplines (process, piping, electrical, instrumentation, civil) to ensure package integration into the overall plant layout and design.
-
Review and approve vendor drawings, including GA drawings, P&IDs, and fabrication details.
-
Participate in design reviews, inspections, and Factory Acceptance Tests (FAT).
-
Support field engineering during installation, pre-commissioning, and commissioning phases.
