Do you want to work with a unique equipment park consisting of high-tech subsea downline/deployment equipment, and be close to both technology and further development?

Fluid Control Service AS (Subsea) are looking for technicians who will work with preparation, maintenance and improvement of our subsea downline/deployment equipment, including a Supervisor to lead the growing Subsea Downlines workshop division.

Tasks

The positions are primarily workshop-based, with opportunities for offshore work available. The successful candidate will be responsible for:

• Planning and coordinating daily workshop jobs to meet operational deadlines

• Equipment Preparation, Maintenance and Modification

• Mechanical, hydraulic and electrotechnical work

• Diagnosing mechanical faults and implement effective engineering solutions 

• Participation in the further development of equipment and solutions

• Field work and offshore participation when needed

• Ensuring compliance with health, safety, and quality standards

• Maintaining accurate maintenance records and technical reports

• Ensuring work is completed to required standards

• Supporting continuous improvement.

About the equipment

You will work with everything from smaller air operated units, hydraulically powered units and fully electrical systems of up to 38 tonnes. 

This will include our recently launched world’s first all-electric Coiled Tubing Downline System (CTDL). The CTDL has capacity to deploy coil tubing of 2 3/8” OD to a depth of up to -2400m, enabling pre-commissioning, LWI and subsea services.

Who are we looking for

This role is suitable for those who:

• Like practical work with advanced technical equipment

• Are solution-oriented and quality-conscious

• Have proven experience in a workshop or maintenance engineering environment

• Having worked on coil tubing or closely related equipment

• Managing to distinguish between what is necessary and what is "nice to have"

• Have the ability to troubleshoot and to work hands-on within a team or on your own

• Have a good sense of order and take ownership of your work

• Work well in teams and enjoy working closely with others

Qualifications

• Relevant trade certificate (industrial mechanic, agricultural mechanic, automatic, car mechanic or equivalent).

• Experience with troubleshooting and technical work is an advantage having worked on coil tubing or closely related equipment.

• Interest in mechanics, hydraulics, electronics and pneumatics.

Place of work and travel: Onshore: New, state-of-the-art premises at Sola. Offshore: Travel in connection with operations mainly from vessels
