We are now looking for a Senior Electronics Design Engineer to take a key technical role in our R&D organization. In this position, you will lead the development of high-reliability electronic solutions from early concept through qualification and industrialization. You will work closely with cross-functional teams and play an important role in shaping technical decisions, mentoring colleagues, and ensuring robust, future-proof designs.

Key Responsibilities

As a Senior Electronics Design Engineer, you will:

• Take technical ownership of electronics design for downhole products, from concept development to delivery and lifecycle support.
• Lead the design of high-temperature analog and mixed-signal electronics, including schematics, simulations, PCB layout, and system-level architecture.
• Define design requirements, interfaces, and verification strategies in close collaboration with mechanical, firmware, test, and manufacturing teams.
• Drive prototype development, assembly, testing, verification, and qualification of electronic systems for harsh environments.
• Review and approve technical solutions, design documentation, and test results to ensure quality, reliability, and compliance.
• Support and improve existing products through troubleshooting, root cause analysis, and design improvements.
• Collaborate with suppliers and manufacturing partners on component selection, procurement, and production readiness.
• Develop and maintain assembly procedures, test specifications, and QA documentation related to electronic products.
• Monitor availability of critical electronic components and contribute to long-term component strategies and risk mitigation.
• Act as a technical mentor and sparring partner for less experienced engineers, contributing to knowledge sharing and best practices within the team.

Experience, Qualifications & Skills

We are looking for someone who brings both technical depth and professional maturity:

• MSc or BSc in Electronics Engineering or a related discipline.
• Extensive experience (typically 7+ years) in electronics design for industrial or high-reliability applications.
• Strong competence in analog electronics design, preferably for high-temperature or harsh environments.
• Solid experience with schematic design, simulations, PCB layout, and system-level electronics design.
• Proven track record of taking products from concept through verification and qualification.
• Experience working in cross-functional, project-based development environments.
• Ability to work independently, make sound technical decisions, and take ownership of complex tasks.
• Fluency in English, both written and spoken.
• Experience from energy, oil & gas, industrial electronics, or similar sectors is an advantage.
